Barbara L. Camens is the principal proprietor of the Washington, D.C. law firm of Barr & Camens. She represents labor unions in all aspects of labor-management relations and employment law, and represents and advises on all legal aspects of employee benefit plans. Ms. Camens has extensive litigation experience before federal courts, administrative agencies, and arbitrators.

Ms. Camens graduated summa cum laude from Ohio State University (B.A. 1979), and received her law degree cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1982, where she attained Order of the Coif and participated in the Law Review.

Ms. Camens is a member of the District of Columbia Bar (Labor and Employment Section) and is a frequent speaker on the topics of labor and employment law. In May 2000, Ms. Camens was appointed by the Congressional leadership to serve on the Board of Directors of the Office of Compliance. She was appointed Chair on March 5, 2010.
